Dr. Gonzalo Samitier Solís, director of the sports surgery team Samitier Sports at Quirónsalud Badalona, has participated as a speaker and module chairman in one of the most prestigious training meetings in the field of sports surgery: the 5th ESSKA Module on the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), held at the renowned Arthrex ArthroLab center in Munich on May 26-27, 2025.
- Organized by the ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy), this module is part of the official European certification program and is aimed at improving the surgical skills of orthopedic specialists throughout Europe.
During two intense days, attendees participated in hands-on assessments on essential techniques such as:
- Primary and revision ACL reconstruction
Pediatric reconstruction
Lateral extra-articular tenodesis
Dr. Samitier played a key role as Module Director, leading the clinical sessions, assessing surgical procedures in a cadaveric environment, and sharing his experience with sports surgeons from all over Europe.
