On 27 February, at a ceremony at the Hotel Badalona Tower, this commitment to federated sport in the region was made official with a presentation of the team and the hospital to various sports clubs and organisations in the Barcelona area; representatives of the Quironsalud Group, Badalona City Council and the UFEC (Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya) will be present at the official ceremony.
Dr. Samitier is an orthopaedic surgeon trained in the United States and France, and an international reference in sports injuries. Together with his team of highly qualified surgeons and sports doctors, he treats sports and trauma injuries on a daily basis, regardless of their severity, at the Quirónsalud Hospital in Badalona.
The Centre has the most advanced technology, state-of-the-art operating theatres and 24-hour emergency rooms to provide year-round coverage for federated sportsmen and women and other recreational athletes who may require medical assistance following a sports accident.
