Spine Unit

The Samitiersports Spine Unit specialises in the conservative treatment of lumbar conditions, with a focus on pain management, functional recovery without surgery, and improving the patient’s quality of life. Our team applies personalised treatment plans, prioritising non-surgical therapies and fluoroscopically guided injection techniques for lumbar spinal conditions, as well as the diagnosis and specific treatment of sacroiliac joint pain.

Dr. Xavier Solernou Soler

Dr Xavier Solernou Soler is a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, having completed his residency at the Parc Taulí University and Healthcare Corporation in Sabadell. He has built his career at leading centres such as Parc Taulí and the Hospital Universitari General de Catalunya, with a growing focus on the management of spinal conditions and the treatment of musculoskeletal pain.

He also has specific training in microsurgery, musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions, and is currently focused on the conservative management of spinal conditions as well as musculoskeletal conditions in general.
